Mtv Video Music Awards: ecco tutte le nomination. In corsa anche Geese e Charli XCX

Madonna e Taylor Swift dominano le nomination degli Mtv Video Music Awards 2026. La popstar di “Confessions II” è l’artista più candidata dell’edizione con undici nomination, seguita da Taylor Swift con nove. Alle loro spalle Ariana Grande e Sabrina Carpenter, entrambe a quota sette, mentre Bruno Mars ne raccoglie sei.

La cerimonia dei VMA 2026 si terrà a Los Angeles il 27 settembre e sarà condotta da Snoop Dogg. Tra i momenti più attesi della serata ci sarà l’omaggio ai Nirvana, che riceveranno il Video Vanguard Award, riconoscimento destinato agli artisti e ai registi che hanno lasciato un’impronta particolarmente significativa nell’arte del videoclip. Nelle quattro edizioni precedenti il premio era stato assegnato a Mariah Carey nel 2025, Katy Perry nel 2024, Shakira nel 2023 e Nicki Minaj nel 2022.
Tra le novità di questa edizione spicca anche l’assenza di diverse categorie presenti in passato. Non figurano infatti “Best Rock”, “Best Afrobeats”, “Best Pop Artist”, “Push Performance of the Year”, “Best Album”, “Video for Good”, “Best Long-form Video”, “Best Group” e “Song of the Summer”.
