American Music Awards 2025: trionfano Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan e Kendrick Lamar. Ecco tutti i premi

Dopo due anni di pausa, gli American Music Awards sono tornati a infiammare la scena musicale. La cerimonia, andata in scena ieri sera (26 maggio) e presentata da una Jennifer Lopez in grande spolvero, ha offerto uno spaccato del pop contemporaneo più virale e discusso, dove a dominare è la popolarità e il potere di penetrazione sui social.

Il nome che svetta su tutti è quello di Billie Eilish: sette nomination e sette vittorie, un risultato che la consacra definitivamente come l’artista più influente del pop attuale. Con l’album "Hit Me Hard and Soft" e il brano "Birds Of A Feather", Billie ha messo in fila i grandi nomi della scena, conquistando anche il titolo di Artist of the Year e Favorite Touring Artist.

A sorprendere è stata anche Beyoncé, che ha portato a casa due premi nella categoria country, segno che il suo ambizioso progetto "Cowboy Carter" ha colto nel segno, nonostante le perplessità iniziali.

Sul fronte rap, Eminem si è ripreso la scena battendo Kendrick Lamar, portando a casa il premio come miglior artista hip-hop maschile e miglior album hip-hop con "The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)". Tuttavia, la scena rap resta vivace: "Not Like Us" di Kendrick si è imposto come uno dei pezzi simbolo di questo 2025.

Tra le novità, l’introduzione delle nuove categorie Album of the Year, Song of the Year e Social Song of the Year, a conferma di un panorama musicale sempre più fluido e orientato alla viralità. La Social Song of the Year è andata a Chappell Roan con "Hot To Go!", una delle voci più fresche e interessanti del nuovo pop americano.

Nel rap, la sfida è stata serrata tra Kendrick Lamar ed Eminem, ma Slim Shady ha avuto la meglio. Nel mondo R&B, SZA e The Weeknd hanno confermato il loro status, mentre il latin continua a ruotare attorno a Bad Bunny, Karol G e Shakira. Nel rock, Hozier ha convinto con Unreal Unearth: Unending, e Zach Bryan resta la voce dell’America più profonda.

Charli XCX ha vinto nel dance/elettronica, Rosé tra le star del K-Pop, e Tems tra le voci afrobeat più ascoltate del momento.

Gli American Music Awards 2025 hanno offerto una fotografia nitida dello stato del pop attuale: un mondo dove il talento deve dialogare con i trend, dove i numeri contano più delle sfumature artistiche, ma dove, ogni tanto, emerge ancora un’artista come Billie Eilish a ricordarci che la musica può ancora scuotere, sorprendere e restare.
