La creatura del belga Bram Devens (alias Ignatius Van Kempenhof e Miles Devens) torna a declinare il verbo di un lo-fi freak-folk dai toni sbandati e psichedelici. In queste ballate indolenti, nelle quali la bassa fedeltà dovrebbe, almeno secondo l’autore, rappresentare un valore aggiunto, weirdness e visioni alterate (“At Night She Saw Her Son”), rumorismo (“The Quiet Woman”) e strumentali estemporanei (“Dance For Two Hundred”), blues fantasmatici (“I Hate This City” Boogie) ed elettronica povera (“Ashes”) contribuiscono, invece, solo a riempire un altro disco senza spessore, come tanta, troppa roba dell'universo weird e dintorni…
