La classifica dei 25 migliori dischi prog rock del 2000 secondo Loudwire

Il progressive rock è più vivo che mai anche nel nuovo millennio. Lo dimostra Loudwire, che ha selezionato quelli che ritiene i 25 migliori album prog rock degli anni Duemila, fotografando un decennio in cui il genere ha saputo rinnovarsi senza recidere il legame con la propria tradizione. Accanto a protagonisti già affermati come Marillion, Porcupine Tree, Spock’s Beard e IQ, la classifica registra l’ascesa di nuove formazioni come The Mars Volta, Gazpacho, Beardfish e The Dear Hunter, in uno scenario sempre più aperto alle contaminazioni con alternative rock, metal, psichedelia, elettronica, jazz e post-hardcore. Non mancano presenze multiple, a testimonianza del peso esercitato da alcune band nel ridefinire il progressive all’inizio del nuovo millennio.
