MTV VMAs 2025: trionfano Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, sombr e Sabrina Carpenter. Ecco tutti i vincitori

La serata degli MTV Video Music Awards 2025, andata in scena ieri notte alla UBS Arena di Elmont, New York, ha consacrato Ariana Grande e Lady Gaga come protagoniste assolute. Ariana ha conquistato quattro premi di rilievo, tra cui quello per la canzone dell’anno, la migliore performance pop e il miglior video long form. Lady Gaga ha invece trionfato con quattro statuette su dodici nomination, tra cui artista dell’anno, miglior regia, migliore art direction e migliore collaborazione per “Die With a Smile” insieme a Bruno Mars. “Mi piacerebbe restare qui e vedere queste meravigliose esibizioni – ha scherzato Gaga – ma devo tornare al Madison Square Garden”.

Il favoritissimo “Not Like Us” di Kendrick Lamar, considerato uno dei brani dell’anno, ha raccolto solo il premio per la fotografia, deludendo le aspettative nonostante le dieci nomination. Tra le canzoni hip hop, invece, è stata premiata “Anxiety” di Doechii. Anche Bad Bunny è rimasto a mani vuote, mentre il miglior pezzo latin è stato “Soltera” di Shakira.

Il premio per l’album dell’anno è andato a Sabrina Carpenter con “Short n’ Sweet“, che ha superato nomi come Bad Bunny, Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen e The Weeknd. Nel rock, i Coldplay hanno prevalso su Green Day e Linkin Park. “Back To Friends” di Sombr (nostro attuale Disco del mese con “I Barely Know Her“) ha vinto come miglior brano alternative, ma il premio per il miglior artista emergente è andato ad Alex Warren. La canzone dell’anno è stata “Apt”, frutto della collaborazione tra Rosé e Bruno Mars. Infine, a Mariah Carey sono stati assegnati il premio Best R&B e il prestigioso Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
