La classifica dei 500 migliori dischi dal 2010 a oggi secondo Uncut

Mentre le principali riviste internazionali sono intente a compilare le classifiche dei migliori album dell’anno, il magazine Uncut ha allargato l’orizzonte, pubblicando la mastodontica lista di quelli che ritiene i 500 migliori album realizzati dal 2010 ad oggi. “Nelle introduzioni dedicate ad altri decenni di questa serie, abbiamo spesso parlato di audaci innovazioni e di come le registrazioni chiave del periodo riflettessero i cambiamenti culturali più ampi – scrive Uncut nell’introduzione - Essendo così vicini nel tempo, è ragionevole pensare che ci vorrà ancora un po’ prima che gli anni trattati in questa nuova rivista, dal 2010 a oggi, si rivelino pienamente. Tuttavia, al momento, i dischi che hanno raggiunto la vetta di questa lista ci sono arrivati grazie alla loro profondità”.
Uncut cita, in particolare, Nick Cave, i cui album più recenti dominano le posizioni più alte della classifica, ma anche Kendrick Lamar, che inserisce la sua ascesa a re del rap in un contesto più ampio di attivismo politico. Anche il rock reclama la sua parte con gruppi che hanno segnato questi anni come Arctic Monkeys, The War On Drugs e Fontaines Dc. Tra le cantautrici, brillano in particolare Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood e PJ Harvey. Nella classifica trovano posto anche due storici album-testamento: quello lasciato da Leonard Cohen in “You Want It Darker” e “Blackstar” di David Bowie, che conquista addirittura la vetta.
