Muore a 39 anni la trombettista jaimie “breezy” branch

L'annuncio sulle pagine della sua etichetta, la International Anthem di Chicago: muore a 39 anni nella sua casa di Red Hook a Brooklyn jaimie "breezy" branch, talento tumultuoso e adamantino del jazz contemporaneo. La trombettista aveva lavorato ai bellissimi capitoli del progetto "Fly or Die", anche nella versione live, e al duo Anteloper con Jason Nazary, con cui recentemente aveva infiammato il palco di Jazz Is Dead 2022 a Torino. Si susseguono sui social i ricordi, tra cui quello del sassofonista Alabaster DePlume: "Parts of me are hopeless, and parts of me are celebrating that she was here, having the effect on me that she did. Jaimie Branch made me feel less alone, and less strange to myself. She directed me to believe in who I am and where I’m coming from. She was here to do something very bold and very good.
