Brit Awards 2025: trionfano Charli XCX, Fontaines D.C., Chappell Roan, Sam Fender e Last Dinner Party. Ecco tutti i premi

Un anno trionfale per Charli XCX. Dopo i tre Grammy conquistati pochi giorni fa, la popstar di "Brat" è stata anche la dominatrice dei Brit Awards che sono stati assegnati alla O2 Arena di Londra. Charlotte Emma Aitchison arrivava ai Grammy inglesi con cinque candidature: Album dell’anno, Brano dell’anno, Artista dell’anno, Dance Act, Pop Act, oltre al premio già annunciato come Songwriter of the Year. Ne ha portati a casa cinque, risultando l’artista più premiata Album dell’anno ("Brat"), Brano dell’anno ("Guess". il duetto con Billie Eilish), Artista dell’anno e Dance Act, oltre al già citato riconoscimento come Songwriter of the Year. Nella categoria Pop Act a spuntarla è stata invece Jade ("Angel Of My Dreams", "Fantasy", "IT Girl").

L’Alt-Rock Act è stato conquistato da Sam Fender, che ha appena pubblicato il nuovo album "People Watching". Come Gruppo dell’anno sono stati scelti gli Ezra Collective, Best New Artist le Last Dinner Party.
In una serata che, tra gli altri, ha visto esibirsi sul palco Sabrina Carpenter (che ha eseguito un medley dei suoi successi ed è stata insignita del Global Success Award), Teddy Swims, Sam Fender e le Last Dinner Party, Chappell Roan ha vinto il premio per il Miglior artista internazionale e la Miglior canzone internazionale, "Good Luck, Babe".

I Fontaines D.C. hanno vinto come miglior gruppo internazionale. I Cure hanno ricevuto la loro prima nomination dopo 30 anni, per il loro disco "Songs of a Lost World”. Anche i Beatles sono stati nominati per la prima volta dal 1977 per la loro prima e unica registrazione originale del XXI secolo.
Per la categoria Hip-hop/Grime/Rap Act vittoria a Stormzy, lo R&B Act è andato a Raye. Nei premi già annunciati anche la Rising Star (Myles Smith) e il Producer of the Year (A.G. Cook)
Lo show è stato caratterizzato da un tributo al defunto membro degli One Direction Liam Payne, dopo che il cantante è stato trovato morto all'età di 31 anni lo scorso anno.
