Genesis: per i 50 anni di "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" esce un album live di Steve Hackett

L’ex-chitarrista dei Genesis, Steve Hackett, ha annunciato l’uscita del nuovo album dal vivo "The Lamb Stands Up Live At The Royal Albert Hall", in arrivo l’11 luglio per l’etichetta InsideOut Music. Il doppio album immortala il concerto tenuto nell’ottobre 2024 alla Royal Albert Hall di Londra, tappa del tour dedicato al cinquantesimo anniversario del celebre concept-album dei Genesis "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", pubblicato originariamente nel 1974.
Sul palco, Hackett è stato affiancato dalla sua band composta da Roger King (tastiere), Jonas Reingold (basso), Craig Blundell (batteria), Nad Sylvan (voce) e Rob Townsend (sax, flauto e percussioni). La serata ha visto anche la partecipazione di ospiti speciali del calibro di Ray Wilson, Steve Rothery, Amanda Lehmann e John Hackett.

Il progetto è stato mixato da Chris Lord-Alge, vincitore di un Grammy, e masterizzato da Ted Jensen presso Sterling Sound. La regia del film concerto è stata affidata a Paul M. Green, collaboratore storico di Hackett. The Lamb Stands Up Live At The Royal Albert Hall uscirà in una special edition 2CD + Blu-ray digipak, con audio 5.1 Surround Sound e contenuti extra, tra cui un’intervista esclusiva. È prevista anche una box-set deluxe in vinile con 4 Lp da 180 grammi e un libretto di 12 pagine con foto inedite dello show.
