Taylor Swift diventa l’artista più premiata di sempre agli MTV Video Music Awards: ecco tutti i vincitori dell’edizione 2024

E’ un trionfo (annunciato, ma mai scontato) per Taylor Swift l’edizione 2024 degli MTV Video Music Awards. La cantautrice della Pennsylvania è giunta alla serata finale forte di ben dodici nomination, ed ha rispettato le attese della vigilia aggiudicandosi sette Awards che le permettono di diventare l’artista più premiata di sempre. Raggiungendo il traguardo di 30 Awards complessivi in carriera, la Swift scavalca Beyoncé (26) e distanzia Madonna (20) e Lady Gaga (18).

Taylor Swift in questa settimana ha totalmente catalizzato l’attenzione dei mass media, prima esibendosi in un improvvisato spettacolino durante la finale degli U.S. Open di tennis, poi con l’endorsement alla candidata democratica alle prossime elezioni presidenziali americane, Kamala Harris, e ieri sera confermando il proprio status di superstar globale.

Grazie a “Fortnight”, il duetto con Post Malone che è stato il primo singolo estratto dal recente album “The Tortured Poets Department“, Taylor Swift si è aggiudicata i Premi per “Best Video Of The Year” (è la quinta volta in carriera, un record), “Artist Of The Year”, “Best Pop”, “Best Collaboration”, “Best Direction” (andato prorpio a lei in quanto regista del videoclip), “Best Editing” e “Song Of The Summer”. Non sono mancati i consueti “Easter Eggs”: il primo degli abiti che ha indossato nel corso della serata, firmato da Dior, è un neanche troppo velato annuncio riguardo la prossima pubblicazione discografica della Swift. Una serie di dettagli presenti nel vestito non saranno di certo sfuggiti ai suoi fan: la Taylor’s Version di “Reputation” è senz’altro in arrivo.

Durante uno dei discorsi di accettazione, Taylor Swift ha voluto rivolgere un pensiero a tutti coloro che persero una persona cara durante l’attacco alle Torri Gemelle di New York dell’11 Setttembre del 2001, terribile data di cui ricorre l’anniversario. La cerimonia di premiazione si è svolta alla UBS Arena di Long Island, alle porte proprio della Grande Mela.

Fra gli altri premiati figurano Sabrina Carpenter (Song Of The Year per “Espresso”), Chappell Roan (Best New Aritst), SZA (Best R&B), Anitta (Best Latin), Lisa, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa e Megan Thee Stallion, che ha vinto due statuette ed ha presentato la serata. Due Premi anche per Eminem (Best Hip-Hop e Best Visual Effects), che diventa così l’artista maschile più premiato di sempre agli MTV Video Music Awards, raggiungendo quota 15 successi in carriera. Il riconoscimento nella categoria “Best Alternative” è stato assegnato a Benson Boone per “Beautiful Things”, quello nella categoria “Best Rock” a Lenny Kravitz per “Human”.
