Nel nostro consuntivo internazionale di fine anno aggiungiamo anche una storica testata di rock underground come Alternative Press, rivista musicale statunitense fondata nel 1985, punto di riferimento soprattutto per le scene alternative, punk, hardcore ed emo. "Il bello del genere alternative è che tende a funzionare come un contenitore omnicomprensivo per molta musica di grande qualità - sottolinea Alternative Press nell'introduzione - Il 2025 ha portato numerose uscite degne di nota, più di quante fosse facile includerne qui... Il genere alternative, e il significato stesso dell’essere alternative, è in costante evoluzione, e il 2025 lo conferma pienamente". Alternative Press ha deciso di pubblicare solo una lista, non una classifica, con i suoi cinquanta titoli preferiti dell'anno in ordine alfabetico, escludendo gli Ep.
