Canzoni lunghe 40 anni. Nel 2025 si celebra il quarantennale di alcuni brani entrati nella storia del pop-rock. La rivista online Ultimate Classic Rock ne ha raccolti 40 che ritiene le migliori pubblicate nel 1985. Lista ovviamente opinabile, ma che può essere un ottimo spunto per andare a scavare in quello che successe quarant’anni fa, riscoprendo canzoni capaci di resistere alla prova del tempo. “Gli anni 80 hanno raggiunto la loro metà in un crogiolo di stili: rock, pop, metal, new wave, alternative, soul, dance e altro ancora – sottolinea il magazine nell’introduzione – Selezionate dallo staff di UCR, le 40 migliori canzoni del 1985 appartenevano nel loro sound sia al passato che al futuro. La vecchia ondata lasciava spazio alla nuova e gli artisti che avevano dominato le classifiche e i palcoscenici appena un decennio prima si trovavano a reinventarsi per una nuova era musicale”.
