È già partita la "battaglia dei grammofoni". Le candidature per la 67ª edizione dei Grammy Awards - il massimo riconoscimento musicale assegnato dalla Recording Academy - sono state annunciate oggi. E, come previsto, le popstar Beyoncé, Taylor Swift e Billie Eilish continuano a dominare la scena.
Beyoncé - già detentrice del record di Grammy vinti, con 32 trofei - guida con 11 candidature, mentre Swift ed Eilish ne hanno ottenute rispettivamente 6 e 7.
Le tre contendenti abituali sono tutte in corsa per l’Album dell’Anno: Beyoncé con "Cowboy Carter", Swift con "The Tortured Poets Department" ed Eilish con "Hit Me Hard And Soft". Le tre star si sfideranno anche per Record e Song of the Year, con "Texas Hold ’Em" di Beyoncé, "Fortnight" di Swift e "Birds Of A Feather" di Eilish.
Lo scorso febbraio, Swift è diventata la prima artista a vincere per quattro volte l’Album dell’Anno con "Midnights", mentre Eilish ha conquistato il suo secondo trofeo per Song of the Year con la ballata "What Was I Made For?" inclusa nel film "Barbie". Entrambe, però, sono state battute da "Flowers" di Miley Cyrus per il Record of the Year.
Nel frattempo, due delle nuove promesse del 2024 - Sabrina Carpenter e Chappell Roan - hanno ottenuto ciascuna 6 nomination e si sfideranno per il premio come Best New Artist.
Nella sezione Best Alternative Music album, in lizza “Wild God” di Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, “Charm” di Clairo, “The Collective” di Kim Gordon, “What Now” di Brittany Howard e “All Born Screaming” di St. Vincent.
