Le classifiche degli altri

La corsa alle classifiche dei migliori album del 2024 è iniziata presto, già all’inizio di dicembre. Tra i primi ad aprire le danze, i magazine Uncut e Mojo. A seguire, sono arrivati gli altri, con liste che si sono dimostrate molto eterogenee e diversificate, ma con alcuni nomi ricorrenti. Su tutti Charli XCX, forse la vera trionfatrice dell’anno, ma anche The Cure, Jack White, Nick Cave, Fontaines Dc, Beth Gibbons, Kim Gordon, Jessica Pratt, The Smile, John Cale, Billie Eilish, MJ Lenderman, Cindy Lee, Waxahatchee e tanti altri.

Scelte a volte lungimiranti, altre spiazzanti, quando non decisamente discutibili. Ma – come sempre – vi invitiamo a utilizzare lo strumento delle classifiche per ciò a cui è unicamente predisposto: fornire consigli utili su dischi da scoprire. Il dibattito su chi viene prima e chi viene dopo, su chi viene incluso e chi viene escluso, seguirà immancabile, ma sinceramente ci pare assai meno utile e interessante.

Tra qualche giorno arriveranno anche le classifiche di OndaRock del 2024 – quella redazionale, quella di chi vi scrive e le liste dei singoli redattori, oltre a quella del nostro forum – per ora vi lasciamo in compagnia delle scelte delle principali testate internazionali: come vedrete, gran parte di questi titoli sono stati recensiti sul nostro sito, quindi potrete confrontare anche le nostre valutazioni.
